oil and fabric on canvas and wood

This painting began as giant red and yellow concentric circles or a bullseye. The idea was to create an underpainting that would encourage the overpainting to have a strong circular movement. I have been interested in the idea of circular movement for many years, and this is why I often choose a square format which promotes circles. Circles are everywhere in our lives and they are pregnant with many ideas.
Built up relief images.
