Heaven and Hell

A friend of mine was working on a series called “The Seven Deadly Sins”. I began thinking about the grand themes in religion and the bible and how most of them reflect our human condition. Polarities abound! This painting was inspired by the idea of Heaven and hell, and how we all have Heaven and hell within us. We all have our bliss and we all have our demons. The demons are hard to face; they are “under the bed” and out of sight and often face us in our dreams.

Built up relief images.
